Most of the music from Native Spirit and the Sun Dance way was recorded live at various Crow and Shoshone Sun Dance Ceremonies from as far back as 1989. However several pieces of original flute music were donated to the project by Bil Whitefeather, a Native American musician from Southern Indiana.
